"Sweet Papa."
1. Louis Armstrong playing with his Hot Five. Wife Lil playing the
piano, Kid Ory on the trombone.
2. Lu Watters' Yerba Buena Jazz Band was a copy
of the old King Oliver Band. The picture at the right => is a hard-to-find
collage of Lu playing and having a drink at the bar!
3. The Firehouse Five + Two was an unabashed copy of
the Lu Waters band. As you listen, you can hear Ward Kimball copying the
tailgate licks of Turk Murphy.
