Back
in the 90's I attended an Adult Trad Jazz Band Camp in San Diego, and Bob was
one of the coaches. He taught me all about the Trad Jazz format, how a band
really worked, what was essential and what was not. Of course, I bought his CD and
started listening to him, along with everyone else.
Bob is still playing, and he has a website here.
You should check it out to find out all about him!!
The tune you hear playing is "Flaming Mamie" --
made famous originally by Coon-Sanders. (Especially
funny to me, since my grandmother's name was "Mamie." <hee, hee>)
"When it comes to lovin', she's a human oven"
